The dealer process for a 2013 BMW 3 Series key goes like this. You call BMW service. You get transferred to parts, then back to service scheduling. You book an appointment days out. I drove to her office lot during a gap in her schedule. I used my HU92 Lishi to decode the lock and verify the blade profile, then cut a fresh key and programmed it through OBD. Her CAS3 key, FCC ID , was a 3-button slot fob that I built and programmed in about 40 minutes.
She walked to her car after her last patient with two working keys at $95 total. Dealer wanted $200 plus a tow. Her car never left the spot and she didn't cancel a single appointment.
