A customer at the Elks lodge in Santee told me he'd already paid another locksmith for a 2005 Cadillac SRX key that never started the car. The engine cranked but the immobilizer killed fuel after two seconds every time. The other locksmith said the body control module was bad and left.

He paid me $163. Dealer charges $356 for the same work. He'd already paid the first locksmith too, which I couldn't help with. But I could make sure the job was actually done right.
