I got a call from a guy over near Shadowridge, close to the community center off Melrose. He had a 2006 Monte Carlo that would crank, fire up for about two seconds, and then shut down hard. But the next cold start it stalls, every single time.
I verified the blade cut against the door lock first, then connected through the OBD port and cleared the incomplete key data. Ran the full learn with the timer, watched the security light cycle properly, and confirmed the key was written to permanent memory. Started it four times in a row just to be sure.
He mentioned what he had already spent on the first visit. I kept that separate from what I was charging him. All I could control was making sure the job was actually finished this time.
