2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer Remote Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A guy in the Live Oak Park Area of Fallbrook reached me late on a Saturday. His Trailblazer was sitting in a covered parking spot inside a tight townhouse complex, low overhead clearance at the entrance, cars parked bumper-to-bumper on both sides.
He had one key left and it had stopped triggering the remote functions. He could still get in and start the car, but the fob did nothing, and he wanted a working spare before a road trip the following week.
I parked on the street and walked in with my bag. That is the whole point of the mobile setup.
The original key was intact and the car started fine, so this was a clean add-a-key situation. I pulled the fob apart on the hood of his Trailblazer, confirmed the CR2032 was reading low, and swapped it. The original fob came back to life immediately. That told me the key itself was fine and the spare programming was not going to have any surprises.
I programmed a fresh remote to the car, verified all three buttons on both fobs, and tested the locks twice from across the parking lot. He had a working spare, a freshly refreshed original, and the car never had to move.
He mentioned the dealer had quoted him a wait time plus a tow since he was not sure the one fob would hold. The whole job on site was faster than the drive to any dealership from that part of Fallbrook, and a fraction of what they wanted.
