Out in Crest, off one of those long quiet roads where the houses sit back from the street, a guy had a 2003 Range Rover he'd owned for years. His key had been getting worse for months. Stiff in the door lock, a little reluctant in the ignition. Then one morning it just wouldn't turn at all.
