2016 Mazda 3 Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
I got a call from a guy near The Crosby in Rancho Santa Fe. He had a 2016 Mazda 3, one working fob, and a wife who was done sharing it. He wanted a spare before it became a real problem.
He had already called the Mazda dealer. They quoted him the fob, the cut, programming labor, and a shop fee as four separate line items. He told me the total and asked if I could beat it. I told him I could, and that my number covered everything, one figure, nothing added at the end.
I met him at his place. The programming side on these requires a diagnostic connection at the OBD port, and the Mazda security system runs a timed wait during key enrollment that you simply cannot rush. The car decides when it is ready. I explained that upfront so he was not standing there wondering why I was not moving faster.
Once the timer cleared, the new fob enrolled, I walked every button, checked the engine start, and handed it over.
He said the dealer had told him to plan on dropping the car off for most of the afternoon. We were done during his lunch.

“Showed up on time and made a new key for my Honda civic, I had an issue when my key wasn’t working properly and the buttons were clicking itself and he was able to make me a new key and correct the problem. Now my car works great and I’m happy with the service. Thanks Marco!”
