Start with the battery. The remote head key on this truck uses a CR1616 cell. It's thinner than the more common CR1632 and people swap the wrong size in fairly often, which causes weak or dead remote function while the transponder keeps working fine because it draws power differently. Swap in a fresh CR1616, make sure it seats flat with clean contact pressure, and retest all four buttons.

If the battery isn't the issue, the remote side may have dropped its registration with the receiver module. That happens after a battery disconnect, a module reset, or sometimes just on its own over time. The remote needs to be re-registered to the vehicle, which is a separate step from the transponder programming. That's a quick job if you haven't lost all keys.
