A guy from Spring Valley Village called me on a Tuesday afternoon. He drives an Armada, full size, the kind of truck that takes up a parking spot and a half. He had one working key left and had been meaning to get a spare cut for about eight months. Then the fob stopped unlocking the doors from more than a few feet away. New fob, programmed on site, old fob erased from the system so it couldn't be used. Walked every door, tested the start function, made sure everything the vehicle security system was supposed to see it was seeing cleanly.
He got a working spare out of it too, which was the original reason he called. Both keys registered, both tested. Done in the driveway, no tow, no wait.
