2015 Nissan Armada Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A Bressi Ranch business owner flagged me down through a referral. He runs a shop off Palomar Airport Road and had a 2015 Armada he used daily for hauling gear. He wanted a working spare key he could actually trust, not a drawer key he was afraid to use.
His first question was blunt: was I going to hand him something that would fail in six months because it was not OEM. He had been burned before on a different vehicle with a cheap remote that stopped locking reliably after about a year. Fair concern.
I told him what I tell everyone. The quality difference between OEM and a properly sourced aftermarket blank on a job like this is not in the circuit or the transponder chip or the button response. It is in whether your locksmith is buying the cheapest blanks they can find to pad margin. I do not do that. I test batches before they go in the van, and I have done enough Nissan Intelligent Key jobs to know which blanks hold up.
We did the work right there in his lot. Cut the blade to match his vehicle, programmed the new fob through the diagnostic port, tested all four buttons, tested the liftgate release, confirmed the vehicle recognized it as a valid key. He locked and unlocked it himself a few times before I packed up.
He saved a good chunk compared to what the dealer had quoted him for the same thing. The bigger win for him was not having to leave the vehicle overnight or arrange a ride back to Carlsbad.
