2022 Nissan Titan Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
I was working out of West Santee on a Tuesday when a delivery driver called me from a parking lot near the repair corridor off Mission Gorge. He was already frustrated before I picked up.
He had called someone else first. That locksmith showed up, did something with the Titan, collected the money, and left. The truck would start, but none of the remote functions worked. No lock, no unlock, no panic. Just a key that did half a job. He found me through Google Guaranteed and, before he said anything else, asked how he could verify I was actually licensed.
I gave him my BSIS license number on the spot and told him to pull it up on the state site right then. He did, while we were still on the phone. That is exactly what you should do when you call any locksmith. If they hesitate or get weird about it, hang up.
When I got there and looked at his 2022 Titan, the fob was enrolled to the immobilizer but the remote functions had not been programmed correctly. It was a partial job. The previous guy either used the wrong procedure or cut the process short. On this truck, the remote and the transponder enrollment are handled together through the diagnostic port, and if you rush it or use a cheap tool that does not fully support the platform, you end up with exactly what he had: starts the engine, does nothing else.
I ran the full procedure, confirmed all three buttons functional, walked the doors and the tailgate, and tested the backup start-by-contact method against the button so he knew it worked if he ever needed it.
He paid exactly what I quoted him on the phone. He said it was less than he paid the first guy, and that job had been incomplete. I did not bring up the dealer price. He already knew.
