2005 Audi Allroad Remote Flip Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A woman in Dos Vientos, Thousand Oaks called me on a weeknight. She had bought her 2005 Audi Allroad used a couple of years back and inherited one flip key with it. One key. No spare. She finally got around to calling the Audi dealer, and they gave her an appointment window that was most of a business day, plus a number that made her pause.
She called me that evening instead and asked if I could just come to her.
I met her at the wine bar patio in Dos Vientos while she was finishing dinner with a friend. I decoded her door lock on-site to get the cut data without needing the original key as a template, cut the replacement blade, and programmed the transponder through the OBD port. The remote portion of the flip key was tested on all four buttons. Everything read correctly on the first try.
She had a working spare before her glass was empty. No half-day appointment, no dropped car, no waiting on a callback from a parts desk. Just the key she had been putting off, done at the table while she was already out.
The dealer comparison barely came up. She had already done the math.
