I showed the body shop team what went wrong so they'd know to warn customers if it ever came up again.

Total job was about an hour and a half, which is longer than normal. His bill was 113. The alternative was a flatbed to the dealer, a multi-day wait, and 234 or more. I carry the bench tools specifically for situations where the first approach hits a wall. The job still got done same-day, on-site.
