I got a call from a guy out near Rincon Point in Carpinteria. It was after dark. He was standing next to his 2001 Impala in a dim parking area, and his only key was gone. Not misplaced. Gone. He had looked everywhere and had already burned about twenty minutes retracing his steps before he called me.
