Got a call at 5:50 in the morning from a guy near Santa Barbara City College. Warehouse worker. Shift started at six and his 2013 Impala flip key had just cracked, the blade snapping clean off inside the ignition. You could hear the stress. The foreman was already clocking people in.

Then the part that matters: registering everything with the Body Control Module so the PK3+ system would recognize it and release the fuel injectors. Hands-on time was about 25 minutes. I cut him a backup too, a plain transponder key for the glovebox so he wouldn't end up stuck like this again.

He clocked in at 6:30. The dealer quoted him days, not minutes, and that was before figuring out a tow. He texted me that afternoon to say thanks. That's the kind of call I like, where the timing actually matters and I can get there fast enough to make a difference.
