You turn to ON, wait for the SECURITY light to go off, cycle the key, and repeat three times. Takes about 30 minutes of just sitting there.
His new key fired the car on the first crank after the relearn finished. I cut a second spare so he would never be in this spot again.
He looked at both keys in his hand like he forgot that was even an option. Two working keys, no tow truck, done in under an hour right on that same street.
