2024 Hyundai Palisade
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in Ventura County

2024 Hyundai Palisade Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

Over in Thille/Montalvo, a Palisade owner called me from the CVS parking lot off Telephone Road. She had done her homework before dialing.

She asked for my BSIS license number upfront, told me she had already pulled it on the state website, and said she was not calling anyone who could not give her one. Her previous experience had left her with a receipt that had no company name, no license, and a phone number that was disconnected inside a week. She was not repeating that.

She needed a spare key programmed while her original was still working. That is the smart move -- all-keys-lost jobs cost more time and more money, and getting a second key made while you still have the first is just easier on everyone.

I pulled up in the van, confirmed her fob matched the factory ID for her Palisade, and ran the job through the diagnostic port using legitimate security data access. The 2024 Palisade immobilizer requires professional equipment and authorized data channels to register a new fob. There is no onboard self-programming sequence for this system. The new key got paired, I tested every button and the start function with her original beside it, and she had two working keys in about forty minutes.

She mentioned the dealer had given her a quote while she was there for her last service. She paid a fraction of that. The receipt had my company name, my license number, and a real phone that will still work next year.
