2022 Hyundai Venue Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
I got a call from a woman in Waverly Heights, over in Thousand Oaks. She had a 2022 Hyundai Venue and the smart key was in rough shape. The rubber button pad was worn down to bare plastic on the lock and unlock buttons, there was a crack running along the seam near the battery cover, and the emergency blade was rattling loose in its slot. Lock, unlock, range check walking down the driveway, start button response. Everything was working exactly as it should. The board and the transponder chip were completely fine.
The job was a shell swap. I moved her original electronics into a fresh case, seated a new button pad, reseated the CR2032, and cut a new blade matched to her vehicle. Torqued the blade pivot so it stops rattling. Full function test after reassembly, walked every button, checked proximity range, and confirmed the emergency blade turned the door cylinder.
She said the dealer made her feel like the whole fob was garbage. It wasn't. The shell was garbage. There's a difference, and it's worth knowing before you let anyone charge you for a full replacement and reprogramming when you don't need it.
