Got a call from a guy out in Dos Pueblos Canyon in Goleta. He had a 2010 Saturn SKY Redline sitting in his driveway with zero working keys. Bought it at a private sale a few months back with one key, and that key finally gave up. Blade snapped right at the head while he was turning the ignition.
He had already called two dealers. One told him Saturn is defunct so they couldn't help. The other, a GM dealer, said they could order the key but he would need to tow the car in, and quoted him a wait time of over a week for the blank and programming appointment. He was not excited about flatbedding a low-slung roadster.
I showed up with the Lishi B111 decoder, read the lock on site, and cut a new sidewinder blade on my Triton Plus. The broken piece was still jammed in the cylinder, so I extracted that first and checked the wafers. No damage, everything lined up clean.
Then the PK3+ side. Connected through the OBD port, pulled the security access with my NASTF credentials, and wrote a fresh ID 13 chip to the immobilizer module. Cranked, security light cycled off, engine caught. He just stood there watching the tach settle at idle like he did not trust it yet.
Whole job, maybe 40 minutes. No tow truck, no week-long wait, no defunct-brand runaround.
