I got a call from someone parked near Hollister Village, over on the west end of Goleta. The SKY had been sitting for a few weeks while they sorted out some stuff, and when they finally went to drive it, the key was gone. Not in the house, not in a drawer. Just gone.

I decoded the lock to get the correct cut, cut the key blank on site, then programmed the transponder through the OBD port. The immobilizer accepted it on the first cycle. Turned the key, engine started.
