2012 Chevrolet Cruze Remote Flip Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
I got a call from a guy out near Peutz Valley, over by the lake on the Alpine side. He'd been out on the water, came back to the parking area, and his only key to his 2012 Chevrolet Cruze was gone. He checked his bag, checked his pockets, walked the path back twice. Nothing. The car was just sitting there locked and he had nowhere to go.
He found me and asked if I could actually come out there. I told him that afternoon worked and I could have him driving home the same day.
When I got there, I picked the door open and decoded the blade cuts off the lock. That gave me an exact profile to cut the new key blade to. Then I connected through the OBD port and ran the all-keys-lost procedure on the immobilizer. That sequence wipes any previously registered keys and enrolls the new one fresh. His new remote flip key fired the car up on the first try.
I cut him a second key right there in the lot so he wouldn't repeat the same afternoon. He had two working keys before I packed up.
The whole job ran about 45 minutes. He drove out of that lot himself, which is the only outcome that matters. Dealer comparison wasn't even on his mind at that point, and honestly, neither was mine.
