His smart key, FCC ID M3N-A2C931426, was a 5-button proximity fob. The "key not detected" error cleared once the BCM reset, and the new fob learned on the first attempt. I showed the shop team what went wrong so they'd know to warn customers about battery voltage if it ever came up again.
Total job time was about an hour and a half, which is longer than normal. His bill was $281. The alternative was a flatbed to the dealer, a multi-day wait, and $478 or more. I carry backup tools and backup power specifically for when the first approach hits a wall.
