I was parked near the CSUSM Area in San Marcos when the call came in. Guy in a pharmacy lot, 2018 Ridgeline, couldn't get his car running. I plugged into the OBD port, re-registered the key to the vehicle, and ran through every function: lock, unlock, the panic button, remote open, and confirmed the engine started clean.
Before I packed up, I walked him through what to do if the fob ever died on him again mid-trip. There's a backup procedure using the physical blade inside the fob housing that at least gets you into the cabin while you wait for help.
He made it to the pharmacy. He made it home. That's the whole job. The dealer comparison is almost beside the point when someone's medication is waiting.
