A guy near the CSUSM Area in San Marcos picked up a used 2006 Accent off a private sale. Clean little car, ran well, came with one key. The seller mentioned getting a spare made "at any hardware store." That was optimistic.
He tried a couple of places first. One cut the blade fine but had no way to program the transponder. The car just sat there cranking and dying. He assumed the cut was wrong and went back. Same result. By that point he'd already burned an afternoon and was starting to think the car was broken.
