2016 Hyundai Accent Remote Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
He works a long shift and parks at the lot off the main stretch in Ramona Country Estates. By the time he got back to his 2016 Accent that evening, the fob was completely dead. He pressed it, nothing. Tried again, nothing. The key blade still turned the ignition, which told me a lot before I even got there.
He called thinking he needed a whole new key programmed. The dealer told him Thursday was the earliest they could see him. It was Monday evening.
I was in the lot inside 35 minutes. The key blade still worked fine, so I had him crank it first. Car started, stayed running. That ruled out any immobilizer fault and told me right away the programming was intact. The fob itself was the only problem.
I popped the case on the hood of my van. The CR2032 had basically bottomed out, and the contact on the positive side had a slight bow to it that was making intermittent contact even with a fresh cell. I reset the contact, seated a new CR2032 correctly, and walked every button. Lock, unlock, trunk, panic. All four came back clean.
He did not need reprogramming. He did not need a new fob. He drove home that same night. The dealer quote, the tow, the three-day wait, all of that went away in under an hour at his parking spot.
