I got a call from a guy up in Mt. Helix, the hilly part of La Mesa where the roads twist and a lot of the houses have steep driveways. He had a 1995 Infiniti G20 sitting in his driveway and only one key left. He had not made a spare in the thirty-plus years he owned the car, and the original was worn down enough that it was starting to feel loose in the ignition. He tried both keys in the ignition and in the door. Both turned clean. He mentioned the dealer had told him a while back they no longer stocked parts for that model and he should try a locksmith. Good advice, just took him a few years to follow it. He paid a fraction of what a dealer trip would have cost, and I was done in under twenty minutes on his driveway.
