If a fresh battery does not clear it, hold the fob directly against the push-button start with your foot on the brake. The antenna in the button can read the transponder at close range even if the battery is fully dead. If the car starts that way, you just need a battery.

If it still will not register, the fob may have lost its pairing, which can happen after the vehicle battery goes completely dead. At that point the fob needs to be reprogrammed, which requires diagnostic equipment. That is a job for a locksmith or dealer.

I lost both keys to my 2009 G37. Can you still make a replacement, or do I need to go to the dealer?

A new emergency blade gets cut to the vehicle at the same time.

The job takes longer than a simple spare-key add because of the reset sequence involved, but it is done on site, at your car, same visit.

The touch-unlock on my driver door handle stopped working but everything else seems fine. Is my fob dying?

Probably not the fob. If the push-button start still recognizes the key and the passenger handle still responds, the fob is communicating with the car just fine. On the G37, the door handle touch sensors can fail or get interference from buildup around the sensor area. Wipe down the handle and retest.

If the problem stays isolated to one door after that, you are most likely looking at the touch sensor or wiring on that door, not the key. That is a vehicle-side diagnosis, not a key replacement.
