2012 Infiniti G37 Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
Out near the Brown Field Area, I got a call from a woman who worked at a clinic close to the airfield. She said she'd already looked up my BSIS license before dialing, which I respect. She had a 2012 Infiniti G37 and wanted a spare Intelligent Key made while she still had a working one in hand. No emergency, just smart planning.
When I pulled up, she met me in the parking lot with both a question and her key. The question was whether an unlicensed shop had damaged a colleague's luxury car electronics during a key job. She wanted to know my process before anything started.
I walked her through it at the hood. The 2012 G37 Intelligent Key system requires diagnostic equipment to register a new fob. There is no ignition-turn sequence, no button trick that adds a smart key on these. The tool communicates through the OBD port, runs the security access sequence, and enrolls the new fob into the immobilizer. I cut the emergency insert blade to her vehicle, seated the CR2032, and confirmed every function: lock, unlock, the trunk release, and the panic button. Then I walked both fobs through the door handles and the start button to make sure the car saw them equally.
She watched the whole thing. That was the point.
The dealer had quoted her a number that made her pause before she even asked about the wait time. She saved a good chunk coming to me, and she didn't have to leave her car at a service department for a day to get it done.
