2018 Nissan Frontier
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in San Diego

2018 Nissan Frontier Metal Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

I got a call from a guy out near the Grossmont Area on a weekday morning. He had driven his 2018 Frontier to a job site, set the key on the tailgate while he unloaded tools, and watched it disappear into a pile of material before he realized what happened. By the time he dug everything out, the key was gone. Just gone.

He still had the truck, but no way to lock it and no spare at home. He called the dealer first. They told him they would need to verify his identity, check their parts inventory, and get him scheduled. He was looking at coming back another day.

He called me next.

I drove out to him. The Frontier was sitting right there, unlocked and accessible since he had been working out of it all morning. I decoded the lock on site, cut a replacement key to match, and handed it to him before his lunch break.

He tried it in the ignition, tried the door, nodded once. That was it. No tow, no appointment, no waiting around. He saved a good chunk compared to what the dealer visit would have cost him in time alone, never mind the money.
