He got back from a week-long trip, walked to his car at the airport cell phone lot, and his 2011 Toyota Highlander would not respond to the fob. Dead CR1632 or CR2032 battery. His smart key, FCC ID HYQ14AAB, was a 4-button proximity fob that needed a CR1632 or CR2032 swap and a fault code clear.
He drove home that afternoon. Total was $266. The dealer would have been $465 plus $170 towing plus two days sitting in a queue before they even touched the car. He was back on the road before dinner with a working fob and a spare CR1632 or CR2032 in his glovebox. The whole thing took less time than the shuttle ride from his terminal to the economy lot, and his car never left the parking space he pulled into a week ago.
