Older Honda models with the edge-cut ignition are some of the fastest key jobs I do. The lock is simple to decode, the key blank is simple to cut, and the immobilizer programming on these is the quickest Honda made. A spare when you already have one working can be done in 15 to 20 minutes.

A food truck operator near Westlake Village area had his key snap in the ignition of his 2001 Honda Civic early one morning.
