An overnight security guard near Ventura City Hall called me around 10pm. His only smart key for his 2018 Civic EX-T had stopped responding that afternoon, and by the time his shift ended the car was just sitting in his townhouse garage, dead to any input. He just stood there watching the dash like it might change its mind. The whole thing took about 35 minutes in a garage lit by one fluorescent tube.
