I got a call from a physical therapist working out of a clinic near the College area of Ventura. She had a full patient schedule, her 2024 Honda Prologue was sitting dead in the lot, and driving to a dealer wasn't even a conversation she wanted to have. She'd tried swapping the fob battery herself and something in the process went sideways. She wasn't sure if she'd broken something or just seated the CR2450 wrong. She came out of her clinic right as I was finishing the documentation. Two working keys, car never moved from its spot, and she made it back inside before her next patient was called.
The dealer quote she'd gotten earlier involved a tow, a wait for an available tech, and a timeframe that would have wiped out her whole day. That's the job. You keep working, I handle the car.
