Got called to the Ventura Performing Arts Center parking structure. A Seltos owner locked her only smart key in the trunk while loading equipment.

The 2023 Seltos needs IMMO authentication through the 16-pin diagnostic port. My IM608 pulled the PIN code in about 30 seconds. Cut the emergency blade on my Condor XC-Mini, then paired the new smart fob through the CAN gateway. The whole add-a-key process runs about 20 minutes once you're plugged in.
She tested all five buttons, made sure the panic worked from across the lot, and checked that both keys would start the car. Kia of Ventura wanted three days for the same job, plus whatever their service department felt like charging that week. She got it done right there in the parking structure for a fraction of their quote.
