On the driver's door, there is a covered key cylinder, usually behind a small cap on the handle surround. The blade opens that. Once you are inside and need to start the car with a fob that has a dead battery, locate the marked spot near the steering column or start button area and hold the fob directly against it while pressing the brake and start button. The vehicle reads the fob at close range even without battery power.
