I used my DAT17 Lishi to verify the blade cut, then connected through OBD with my IM608. The failed key data showed in the BIU scan. I cleared it, ran a clean IMMO learn with the full 30-second security timer, and watched the confirmation screen show "Key Registration Complete."
His fob, FCC ID HYQ14AKB with part number 88835-XC00A, had all four buttons working: lock, unlock, hatch, panic. Clean start every time. I showed him the diagnostic screen confirming permanent registration.
He paid me way less than the dealer quote he'd gotten. He'd already paid the first locksmith too, but at least this time it was done right.
