I got a call out to a parking lot near the Poinsettia neighborhood in Ventura. The owner of a 2024 Subaru Ascent had already paid someone else to cut and program a replacement smart key. The car would crank, run for about two seconds, and then kill itself. The other locksmith told him the security module was bad and walked.
