The HU101 ignition cylinder on Focus, Fusion, Escape, and Explorer models wears down over time. The wafers inside get loose, the key starts sticking, and eventually the customer thinks the whole ignition assembly needs replacing. The dealer will happily sell them that.

His total was $185. The ignition works smooth again, the key turns clean, and he didn't replace a single part that wasn't actually broken.
