If the truck starts and then immediately stalls or kills itself a few seconds after ignition, that shifts the diagnosis toward the immobilizer side, which is a different conversation. Either way, don't let a dealer tell you the fob needs replacement based on a fault code alone without ruling out the antenna and the battery first.
