She ran a home daycare out of a bungalow just off the main stretch in Downtown El Cajon. Her 2012 Sentra was the car she used for everything: school pickups, supply runs, the whole routine. Then I walked the car and made sure the doors responded the way they should.
The whole thing took under half an hour. She had a working fob in a solid shell, and because the original electronics transferred clean, there was no reprogramming needed. The dealer would have scrapped what was still good and started over. I didn't.
