A man at the library in Ramona told me he had already paid another locksmith full price for a 2001 Toyota Sequoia key that never programmed right. The engine cranked but the immobilizer killed fuel after two seconds every time. The other locksmith told him the ID box was bad and left.

I used my TOY43 Lishi to verify the blade cut was correct, then connected through OBD with my IM608. I cleared the failed registration, ran a clean immobilizer reset with the full security sequence, and confirmed the new key was permanently stored. His key with remote, FCC ID , started the engine clean with no fuel cutoff.
He paid me $107. The dealer charges $266 for the same work. He had already paid the first locksmith too, which was money gone. What I could do was get it right this time and show him the IM608 screen confirming the key was permanently registered to his car's immobilizer. That confirmation screen is the proof that the job is actually done, not just attempted.
