I got a call from a woman in the Peach Hill area of Moorpark. She worked at a veterinary clinic nearby and had gotten a replacement key made for her 2013 A7 by another locksmith a few weeks earlier. It worked fine for the first several days. Then it started failing in the evenings. The push-button start would not detect the fob, and she would have to stand there cycling through door opens and repositions trying to get the car to see it. Some mornings it worked perfectly. I programmed a fresh fob with the correct data matched to her vehicle, seated a new CR2032 properly, and tested every function before I left. Lock, unlock, push-button start, the full sequence, multiple times.
