2017 Audi A7 Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A guy in Mountain Meadows, Moorpark had just bought a used 2017 Audi A7. Good car, clean interior, one key. The seller told him a spare was cheap. He called the Audi dealer and got a number that made him pause, especially a few months into his first real job after school. He found me online and asked whether what the dealer quoted was typical.
I told him it was. Audi dealers price Audi keys like Audi dealers do. But the same result, done right, runs a fraction of that through me because I work out of a van and not a service drive.
I met him in the gym parking lot off the main road before his morning workout. He had his one key with him, which made everything cleaner. I decoded the existing key blade and cut a matching blank on site, then handled the transponder work so the car would recognize the new key. The whole thing was done before he finished his workout.
He had two working keys. If one disappears later, adding another is a straightforward add-a-key job instead of the more involved all-keys-lost process. That distinction matters, and I mentioned it so he actually keeps both keys in separate places.
The dealer number never came up again after that first call. He just wanted the problem gone.
