She was parked near the trailhead entrance off Dos Vientos Ranch Road, the kind of Saturday where the lot fills up early. Her only key had snapped at the shoulder, the working half stuck in her hand and the tip still in the ignition cylinder.

I got there with my extraction kit and a key blank that fits that generation Passport. Got the broken tip out clean, no damage to the cylinder. Then I decoded the existing cuts off the piece she still had in her hand, transferred the profile, and cut a new key on the spot.
She turned it over on the first try. Didn't have to tow it anywhere, didn't have to wait until Monday for a dealer appointment, didn't have to pay dealer rates. The whole thing took less time than the first guy spent deciding he couldn't help.
