His remote, FCC ID 2BAHD-KFW1, was a 5-button smart key. Once the module relearned it, the Jeep started immediately.
He drove to his post that night. Total was 84. Dealer would have been 183 the next day plus a tow. The problem wasn't the fob. It was a weak battery that caused the module to forget the key. That diagnosis is why I carry multiple tools.
