2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in Ventura County

2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

Over in Mountain Meadows, I got a call from a woman who managed an HOA in Moorpark. Her 2018 Grand Cherokee was the vehicle she used to run between properties all day. She needed a spare for herself plus spares for a pair of maintenance vehicles the HOA owned.

She had already called the dealer. The quote came back per key, and when she did the math for all three, it didn't fit the quarterly budget. Beyond the cost, she couldn't pull all three vehicles off-site one at a time and leave them at a dealership for the better part of a day each.

I met her at the condo office one afternoon. Before programming multiple keys in a single session I backed up the body control module data first. It's a habit I keep on any multi-key job because if something hiccups on the third or fourth key learn, you want a recovery point. I worked through all three vehicles, registered the new fobs, tested every button on every key, and confirmed each one would start its assigned vehicle.

She handled two tenant phone calls while I was working. By the time she was off the second call, everything was done, tested, and labeled.

Three vehicles, one visit, no tow trucks, no dealer appointments stretching into next month. She told me the HOA board approved the expense the same week because the receipt actually made sense.
