Saturday morning near Montecito Peak Trail. A bakery owner with a 2014 Grand Cherokee walked back to her vehicle after setting up her farmers market booth and hit the fob button. Nothing. I built a new 5-button FOBIK with my VVDI, matched the M3N-40821302 profile, and programmed through OBD. Then the part that matters: walked every door, tested lock, unlock, start, remote start, and liftgate. All clean. She watched the whole thing from her booth, glancing over between customers.
She finished market day and drove home. No tow, no Monday appointment, no sitting around a dealer waiting room. Just the right fix, on site, for a fraction of what that Monday visit would have cost.
