Out near High Street in Moorpark, a foreman running an avocado grove called me about a 2017 Grand Cherokee that needed a replacement key. The nearest Jeep dealer was over an hour each way, and pulling a ranch vehicle off-property for a full day during harvest was a non-starter.
He called the dealer anyway. They wanted a scheduled appointment, the Jeep towed or driven in, and a wait that would burn most of his workday. He found me, asked if I cover his area, and I told him I'd drive out.
I worked on the Jeep right at the grove. His unit runs the standard FOBIK with the Y159 keyway, FCC ID M3N-40821302, five buttons including the hatch release. The original fob shell was cracked down the seam and the panic button was mushy from dust and sweat. I cloned the transponder data from his worn original using my VVDI2, cut a fresh Y159 blade, and rebuilt the internals into a new 5026676AH shell.
Tested lock, unlock, remote start, hatch, and panic at the property gate. Then I programmed a second spare while I was already connected to the OBD port through the WCM so he'd never be down to one key again.
Two working FOBIKs before I left. He stood there holding both of them like he was weighing whether it was really done. It was. For a fraction of what the dealer route would have cost him in parts, labor, and lost time.
