A River Park resident called me on a Tuesday afternoon. Her 2017 MINI Hardtop 4 Door was sitting in the driveway showing a key-not-detected warning on the dash, and the car would not start. She had already tried the obvious stuff. New CR2032, bought from a pharmacy. Still nothing.

She did not need a new key. That was the honest answer, so that is what I told her. But she asked about a spare while I was there, because she had never had one for this car. We talked through the cost, she said yes, and I programmed a second fob on site while everything was already connected.
