Over in Berry Park on a Sunday morning, I got a call from a restaurant server who was already frustrated before I even pulled up. She told me right away that another locksmith had been out the week before, charged her full price, and left her with a key that did not work.

The symptom was textbook: car cranked, caught, ran for about two seconds, then died. Every time. The engine was not the problem. She had already paid once for a job that was not done. The dealer comparison was almost beside the point. She just wanted a key that worked, and this time it did.
