I got a call out near Harbison Canyon from a guy who'd already been through it once. He hired one of those $49-headline locksmiths off a Google ad, and that tech charged him a lot more than $49, handed him a fob that half-worked, and left. The doors would lock from the fob, but the start function was intermittent. He'd been living with it for two weeks before he found me.

He asked what the dealer had quoted for the original job. When I told him what I charged versus what the dealer wanted, he just shook his head. The first locksmith had charged him more than both of us and left the job unfinished.
