I was out in The Crosby in Rancho Santa Fe when a guy flagged me down while I was wrapping up a different call. He had a 2007 Ford Escape sitting in his driveway and a story that took about thirty seconds to tell.

He had called one of those bait-and-switch outfits a few weeks earlier.
