2022 Infiniti Q60
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in San Diego

2022 Infiniti Q60 Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

A fleet manager in Downtown National City runs a small executive transport operation out of a lot off Highland Avenue. His Q60 sedans were his top-tier vehicles, the ones that went to the airport runs and the corporate pickups. He had drivers sharing a single fob per car, and the morning shuffle to sort out who had which key was bleeding time he didn't have.

He called the dealer first. The quote came back for each fob, times three vehicles, plus he'd have to bring each car in separately during shop hours. That meant three different mornings, three vehicles pulled from rotation, and three trips he couldn't bill for. He said the math felt like a punishment.

He called me instead.

I pulled into his lot before the first run of the day. All three Q60s were lined up. I worked car by car: OBD connection, enroll the new fob into the vehicle's security system, cut the emergency insert blade, test every button function and confirm the start. Then move to the next one. Each car got its own dedicated fob, no cross-pairing, no shared keys.

By the time his first driver needed to leave, all three cars had their own keys, labeled by VIN, and the morning sorting problem was gone. He said it was the first time in weeks he didn't start the day already behind.

He saved a serious amount compared to what the dealer wanted, but honestly, for him, the bigger win was just keeping the cars on the road.
